We are delighted to be hosting and taking part in a number of events to celebrate HM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Our celebrations kick off on Friday 20 May when the Festival of Suffolk's Torch Relay comes through RHS. Our nominated torchbearers will carry the torch from RHS to Holbrook village. We are then hosting a Jubilee celebration in school for our whole school community on Friday 27 May as the official Jubilee bank holidays fall during half term.
Our creative Art Department have also created a large willow crown, to be displayed in front of the school throughout the celebrations. Our events culminate in a large public Festival of the Sea event on the weekend of 11/12 June, which includes nautical and naval displays and a nautical ball!  All details can be found below.

RHS Torch Relay

RHS is honoured to be on the route of the Festival of Suffolk Torch Relay this Friday, where it will be given a wonderful RHS send-off as it travels from the School to Holbrook.  Starting at 8.30am, our Marching Band will provide a splendid musical display before our pupil-led flag team raise the Union flag to the National Anthem. The Torch Relay rickshaw will carry our torchbearers through the pupil and staff lined route as it departs for Holbrook village at approximately 8.45am.

School Jubilee Celebrations - 27 May

On Friday 27 May, the school is dedicating the afternoon to celebrate The Queen's Jubilee.

Led by our Sports Department, pupils will enjoy an old-fashioned sports day, which will include sack, egg & spoon and three-legged races!

The school will then enjoy a Jubilee Picnic on the terrace before half term begins. This will certainly put our community in the right spirit to enjoy the official celebrations the following week.

We look forward to celebrating The Queen's Jubilee as a whole school together.
