The Royal Hospital School's top performer in terms of overall points score at A Level was Cillian Rew who achieved A*s in Chemistry, Physics and Maths and an A in Further Maths.
This was in a year when the media is reporting that top grades fell to their lowest in more than a decade, but Royal Hospital School pupils have kicked the trend with a 5% rise in the number of A* grades achieved year on year. Cillian joined RHS in Year 7 from Littlegarth School in Essex which is a significant feeder to the Royal Hospital School. He will now go on to read Physics at Durham University.
Cillian said "I am extremely grateful to the school, especially the teachers, for helping me achieve my grades; this would not have been possible without their support and encouragement. I also am looking forward to the new challenges ahead when I go to Durham in September.'
