Todd Declamation 2018
Now in it's third year the Todd Declamation has seen a record amount of interest with 23 pupils registering to compete in the Sixth Form public speaking event.
The competition will be held on Saturday 17 March and see eight finalists given 7 minutes to present a point of view on a subject of their choice in front of the whole Sixth Form whilst being judged by Richard and Lissie Todd. Richard was a pupil at RHS and is now a Queen's Counsel, Deputy High Court Judge and a Recorder in the Court of Chancery while Lissie is a Deputy District Judge in London and the South East, as well as being an RHS Governor.
For the first time three non-native English primary language speakers will compete for a place in the final showing the growing interest in public speaking and oracy programme.
