Fair Winds

Sailing pupils compete at national and international level over summer

We wish our sailing pupils fair winds and following seas as they compete at various national and international events throughout the summer.

Daniel P is a member of the GBR Under 23 Finn squad, training hard and competing in several Olympic class events. Lia F will be representing GBR at the Cadet World Championship in Germany this summer whilst Jack O will be competing at the RS Tera World Championships. Muiris C-T and Daisy W will be sailing at the RS Feva European Championship and Josie R will be competing at the Melges 32 Eurocup.

In other events RHS teams have consistently been placed in the top four in both Senior and Junior categories, highlights include the Juniors winning both the Spring Trophy and British Schools Eastern Championship and the Seniors winning The Suffolk Shiver.

Joshua D competed at the Laser 4.7 European Championship at Easter and the school was represented in the British Keelboat League for the first time. They received considerable admiration and credibility following some excellent performances by the team, finishing fourth overall and winning two races outright.
