Volunteer work for the RSPB at Copperas Wood Nature Reserve
Last Sunday, six pupils went to Copperas Wood Nature Reserve to dismantle an old and rotten walkway and began the process of replacing it with a new one on behalf of the RSPB. Accompanied by two RSPB staff and our very own Mr Rennison, the volunteers worked hard dismantling the old bridge, removing all the old planks to some 300 metres away and carrying all the new timber back again to the site. All the old support posts were removed from the ground and replacement ones put into new holes dug, ready for the rebuilding of the walkway.
Well done to everyone who volunteered and worked really hard serving the local community and making a difference.
