RHSPA Christmas Fayre 2019 raises over £3,000

Christmas Fayre 2019 raises over £3,000 for RHS Annual Fund

We are thrilled to report that the Christmas Fayre 2019, organised by the RHS Parents' Association, made a profit of over £3,000. These funds will be allocated to the School's Annual Fund to support 'here and now' projects ranging from equipment for sports and societies, to capital enhancements such as the Richards Library.

We are really grateful to the event organiser, Louise Wakefield, and all those who volunteered their time. A very special thanks to our 'Santas' and Prefects guiding traffic, those helping stalls with their boxes and our elves selling raffle tickets and cakes!

In addition to our Prefect volunteers, this year we also had a larger array of stage acts involving children from RHS Music and the local community. It was wonderful see our young performers shine in front of a large welcoming audience - including The RHS Gospel Choir.

The Christmas Fayre, now in its third year, has become an established festive fixture in Suffolk. This year we had over 60% of stall holders returning, citing that it is the best Fayre they attend. As always those who were visiting for the first time were fascinated by the School's rich heritage and impressed by our pupils. We had some exciting new comers including pupil entrepreneurs and parents showcasing their talent in art, design, hairdressing and fashion. We also were extremely fortunate to welcome Mr. Andrew Prince who designs the jewellery for the likes of Downton Abbey and His Dark Materials. He had a lovely time meeting fans of the show and was delighted that many customers bought his iconic designs.

We are grateful to all those that came on their bikes, drove in their cars and to those who walked with their dogs from near and far. We are already taking bookings for next year.

See you Saturday 12th December 2020!
