NSEA Championship Plate
Team captain Eliza T led a very successful seven rider team over the weekend at the NSEA Championship Plate at Keysoe in Bedfordshire. Classes took place in both the indoor and outdoor arena which meant there were lots of courses to remember with each rider competing more than once. The girls embraced the competitive atmosphere and were very supportive of each other resulting in lots of rosettes, medals and prizes and of course smiles over both days. Many of the prizes were presented in buckets and over the weekend the girls managed to tally up a total of 27 buckets between them!
The Championship Plate 2018 consisted of JwS (jumping with style over show jumps and a timed cross country style jumps) and show jumping. JwS is marked on a penalty basis it takes into account not only the optimal time of the cross country jumps and knocked fences but also the riders position, arena craft and reactions in addition to the effectiveness of the horse and rider combination.
