Every year, the Annual National Service for Seafarers awards up to five bursaries to provide funding for a year's worth of music lessons to talented musicians.
The recipients are chosen from a range of youth organisations as well as the five schools who take part in the annual service, which is held every October at St. Paul's Cathedral. The bursaries are awarded by the charity's trustees based on the recommendations by the directors of music from each organisation.
This year, RHS pupil Talan Hogan was one of the musicians presented with an award following the service last week.
