The Royal Hospital School was invited to speak at the world's biggest education technology event, Bett at ExCel, London, on the subject of cyber security.
Hamish Mackenzie, Head of Digital Learning, explained that technology is embedded across policy, curriculum and practice at the Royal Hospital School. "We recognise that in embracing new technologies we must also consider network, information and application security. The system is only as good as the behaviour of its users which is why we place great importance on the promotion of good practice amongst both staff and pupils so that they may use it safely, productively and responsibly".
The school has been recognised as a 'beacon of good practice' in the use of technology accredited with the 360-degree online safety mark and was shortlisted in the Best Use of Technology category at the Tes Independent Schools Awards 2019..
