Head of School, Jaz S has written, cast and directed her first play Ghost Therapy which will be performed at The Headgate Theatre on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October as part of this years Colchester Fringe.
Ghost Therapy is a family comedy. Jaz doesn't want to give too much of the plot away but says "It is a comedic and fun play with a variety of different characters, I mean ghosts. So prepare to die of laughter."
Jaz has always enjoyed being creative and really enjoys the creative writing of English at school. "Due to my love of film and theatre, I started writing scripts, and honestly, once you get into the flowing of writing an idea, it's hard to stop." Jaz says "My favourite part of being a writer is seeing my ideas take form and the idea of being able to make people feel happy, scared, sad or angry," She plans to apply for film school and wanted to prepare a portfolio, so lockdown seemed the perfect opportunity.
So what is next for Jaz? Well, she has been to the Edinburgh Fringe for the last four years with friend Emilia and says "I hope to bring the play to Edinburgh Fringe next summer, as that is what inspired me to write Ghost Therapy in the first place."
