Event leaders Cheryl Hayhoe and Petra Clifton-Thompson, with help from many RHSPA volunteers, successfully organised yet another wonderful Burns Night. Great fun was had by all and together we managed to raise a profit of £2,500. These funds will be allocated to the School's Annual Fund to support 'here and now' projects ranging from equipment for sports and societies, to capital enhancements such as the Richards Library.
RHSPA's Burn's night is always a sell-out event; a highly popular, dance-filled evening of much joy for one and all. The Haggis was piped in and the RHS Kitchen teams did everyone proud with some stunning dishes for the over 180 guests who were in attendance. Haggis Wellington was served, and of course, the required neeps and tatties that went down a storm!
We very much hope you enjoyed yourselves and we look forward to seeing you next year, celidahing along to The Ship Band's diddly-diddly tuneful talents once again.
The RHSPA has grown considerably in the last 2 years, with many more events taking place regularly, including both an annual winter fayre and summer fete, now all planned into the school's own programming.
Thank you to everyone that helped and came along. The next RHS Parents' Association event will be a roaring 1920's themed Moonshine Ball 16 May 2020. Book your tickets here
