World Mental Health Day
In recognition of World Mental Health Day today, Monday 10 October, and the fantastic work that Young Minds do in support of mental health in young people, all pupils and staff were invited to wear a yellow accessory or item of clothing in support of the Young Minds #HelloYellow campaign.
To further promote awareness of the day and the importance of wellbeing at RHS, houses are involving their pupils in a themed competition. Using anything yellow (for example, items from around the house, recycling or clothing) they need to creatively display #RHSWellbeing (our RHS wellbeing Twitter hashtag). The entries will be judged by Zoë King, Deputy Head (Pastoral), and Marianne Eales, Pupil Welfare Assistant, on Wednesday 12 October.
Highlighting World Mental Health Day gives our RHS community the chance to reflect on our own mental wellbeing as well as that of those around us and encourages conversations around how we can look after ourselves or others who may need a little more support.
