Strong start for swimming season

The swimming season started with some strong results in the first gala of the year against Ipswich High School and St Joseph's College.

Teamwork was key to success in the Year 8 freestyle relay with the whole squad achieving good times for their lengths which contributed to a dramatic touch finish by Cole S bringing home the win. This was particularly impressive as two of the squad Grace G and Emily C are in Year 7, promising a bright future for swimming.

With the standard set high, the Year 9 freestyle relay team didn't disappoint matching the win with a great finish by Dan L.

Overall the Year 9 team acheived a joint win with IHS and the Year 8 team took first in their age group.

Year 9 team: Winston S, Cassie C, Jason S and Dan L.

Year 8 team: Olivia G, Cole S, Grace C, Grace G and Emily C.
