Sing Up! Suffolk 

Last Wednesday we hosted Sing Up! Suffolk for 9 primary schools. Dominic Ellis-Peckham was our hugely charismatic choral leader, encouraging all the pupils to sing and dance and teaching the many aspects of ensemble singing in a fun-filled environment. All the primary school children sang exceptionally well, with lots of enthusiasm – even some of the teachers joined in.  

The first session started with a warm-up, with Dominic ensuring all the pupils understood how we sing and what goes where. Session two, ‘Into the Music', got all the pupils stuck into the repertoire. Session 3 after lunch was the ‘Countdown to the Show’, polishing the songs ready for the afternoon performance, ’The Gig’, which showcased the pupils’ hard work to parents and friends.  

Birchwood Primary School, Bures CEVC Primary School, Culford Prep School, Harwich Community Primary School, Holbrook Primary School, New Hall School, St Cedd’s School, St Margaret's Prep School and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School all attended the event.
