On Monday 28th March a team of three RHS pupils competed in the Suffolk Schools Golf Association Championships. Both the team and individual titles were up for grabs. Freddie Bolton playing off a handicap of 8, shot a net 8 over par 80, whilst Joe Entwistle, playing off a handicap of 18 shot a net 1 over par 73. The reoccurrence of an old back injury to Theo Symons meant that RHS had to withdraw from the team competition and despite their good rounds, neither Joe or Freddie's scores were low enough to see them place in the individual championship.
This was the first time in over three years that pupils from RHS have represented the school at golf and we hope to be able to take part in further fixtures in the future. If you have an official handicap and would like to represent the school at golf, then please contact Mr Corby. Competitive fixtures are open to all boys and girls from all year groups who have an official handicap.
RHS pupils are lucky to be able to use the 9 hole golf course on campus, with fantastic views overlooking the River Stour.
