Pretty Muddy 5K

Pretty Muddy 2022

Last Sunday six pupils and four members of staff, as well as some parents, participated in the Ipswich Pretty Muddy 5k Race for Life, in aid of Cancer Research. Owen S, Yr 13, won the race, with James T, Y9, coming a close second!

Pupils included Toby C (Y12), Lila R (Y12, Owen S (Y13), James T (Y9), Freddie S (Y9) and Max H (Y9). Staff participants were Adeline Barth, Kerrie Finley, Tereza Fairbairn and Aemilia McDonnell.

Not only does the race require 5km of running and a great deal of mud, but also obstacles ranging from inflatable hurdles to a mud slide. The event overall raised £78,000 for cancer research, contributed to by all the athletes.

Adeline Barth, Head of French and organiser of the RHS group, said. ‘We could not be prouder of Team RHS; it was such good fun and we hope to have even more participants from the school joining us next year.’

Well done to all of those who took part and congratulations to our winners!
