Nelson House Wellness Room
A new wellness room has been created for our RHS Sixth Form pupils in Nelson House. The space has been designed to provide a peaceful relaxation and reflection area for Year 13 pupils.
Tim Carleston and Jess Condliffe, Nelson Houseparent's said “Sixth Form is a demanding time for all young people, which is why this space is such an important part of their Sixth Form experience. We will be leading some guided mediation sessions to introduce pupils to this helpful wellbeing strategy that can help them manage stress and promote relaxation.”
The Wellness Room will also host weekly ‘Tea & Talk’ sessions that will start open and honest conversations between friends on particular topics, provide support and advice on how to improve their well-being, and help them to see the possibilities of meditation and space. Available for both day and boarding pupils, the sessions will provide a safe space where pupils can share their concerns amongst friends.
The room can also be booked by pupils who may want a quiet space away from their bedrooms and common room areas, to read, reflect and focus on their well-being.
