MathsFest
Our Year 12 mathematicians attended this year's Maths Fest in London. The day was a celebration of all things maths and a chance for our pupils to be inspired by some of the best maths speakers in the UK.
Pupil comments:
“It was fascinating to learn how Dr Tom Crawford used a version of the famous Navier-Stokes equation to model plastic pollution from rivers into oceans to enable efficient clean-up operations.”
“We learned about many useful applications of pure mathematics such as Fourier Transformations and how they are used extensively in medical scans using Magnetic Resonance Imaging.”
