Maths Symposium

 

Join us for our inspiring Maths Symposium on 4 May, designed to support higher achieving Year 10 pupils to secure a top grade at GCSE (pupils who are aiming to achieve a Grade 7 or above). 

We have three sessions running from 10.30 until 14.00, with lunch provided by RHS, as follows: 

10.00 to 10.45 - Reach for the Stars: Aiming for Grades 8-9 

11.00 to 12.15 - Keynote speaker - Zoe Griffith 

12.15 to 13.00 - Lunch  

13.00 to 14.00 - Ultimate Galactic Maths Challenge, with our RHS sixth form maths pupils available for support 

Zoe Griffith is a well-known mathematician, maths communicator and former teacher. She travels the UK and internationally giving talks and workshops in schools, at science festivals, teacher conferences and at comedy nights. 

Zoe gives mathematics talks and workshops through Think Maths (an organisation founded by stand-up mathematician Matt Parker) and in a personal freelance capacity. In addition to visiting schools in the UK, Zoe is a KeyNote speaker at MathsFest.
