Ladies Golf

Ladies Golf

We held our first-ever Ladies Golf Introduction Session yesterday after school.

The golf clubs were swinging, and the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as our female golfers took their first steps onto the green. It was a fantastic experience filled with laughter and a whole lot of golfing fun!

The golfers learnt basic skills from how to grip and swing the club to putting.

Mr Corby, biology teacher and keen golfer, comments: "I was thrilled to see such a fantastic turnout of both female staff and pupils. I was recently told that golf is a game for old men and one that women and girls are not encouraged to play. While there maybe some truth to this stereotype, we believe that golf is a game for everyone. That is why we decided it was time to take action.

"Our aim is to give any girls or female staff who have ever thought about trying the game the opportunity to learn enough basic skills to enable them to enjoy the game and make use of our lovely golf course." ⛳️💃

Thank you to all the parents who donated clubs and equipment.
