Joel has achieved an excellent set of GCSE results, including Grade 9s in Computing and English Language, five Grade 8s in Biology, Chemistry, DT, Maths and Physics, and Grade 7s in Business and English Literature.
He is now looking forward to continuing his journey at RHS Sixth Form, where he plans to study Mathematics, English Literature and Politics. Joel also plans to use his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) to explore areas of Economics and Politics, helping him to decide whether this is an area he would like to pursue at university.
Having joined RHS in Year 7, Joel has embraced a wide range of opportunities throughout his time at the school. He has enjoyed success in both sailing and rugby, finishing sixth at the School Feva Nationals and fifth at the Team Racing School Nationals. In rugby, Joel has played up a year for rugby sevens at both Roslyn Park and Oakham 7s. He also gained valuable work experience at Lotus in Year 9, broadening his experience beyond the classroom.
Joel particularly enjoys sailing and rugby and has valued the opportunities to challenge himself both academically and through sport during his time at RHS.
Upon reflection, Joel says: "RHS has been a blur of experiences, diverse opportunities and academic and sporting challenges."
