RHS Futures and Alumni Office Wins IDPE Engagement Campaign of the Year Award for Centennial Art Exhibition

We are delighted to share that the Royal Hospital School Futures and Alumni Office have been awarded the IDPE Engagement Campaign of the Year Award in recognition of the outstanding success of the Centennial Bursary Campaign Art Exhibition and Auction. This award celebrates innovation, creativity and meaningful community engagement.

Launched as a completely new initiative, the exhibition set out with a bold aim: to bring our community together in an unexpected and inspiring way while raising funds and awareness for the Centennial Bursary Campaign. Transforming our Art Block into a vibrant gallery space, the event united alumni, parents, pupils, staff and both local and international artists in a true celebration of creativity, philanthropy and shared purpose.

Held on Saturday 1 March 2025, the exhibition featured over 100 donated artworks, a testament to the generosity and talent within and around RHS. Highlights included Helen Wagland’s Sleeping Girl, a sculpture with an award-winning history, and a piece from Jack Russell MBE, the former England cricketer turned celebrated artist. Works by Head of Art Harriet Barber and several other contributing artists added depth and variety to a beautifully curated collection. Many artists joined us on the night, offering guests the chance to hear more about the inspiration and stories behind the pieces.

Winning the IDPE Engagement Campaign of the Year Award is a wonderful recognition of what happens when the RHS community comes together with imagination and generosity! Thank you to every artist, donor, guest and supporter who contributed to this remarkable evening and helped move us closer to our mission to Launch 100 Lives through the Centennial Bursary Campaign.
