Iceland 2024

Iceland 2024

This summer, our Year 12 geographers embarked on an unforgettable journey to Iceland, packed with epic adventures and stunning landscapes!

They kicked things off with a visit to Gunnuhver, followed by the breathtaking FlyOver Iceland experience. What a way to start the trip! 🌋 The adventure continued on day 2, with a glacier walk, exploring the black sands of Reynisfjara, and an evening at the LAVA Show. Plus, they couldn’t miss the breathtaking waterfalls! ❄️

Heimaey Island was next on the itinerary, where our geographers spotted puffins, explored a volcanic crater, and enjoyed an exhilarating rib safari! 🐧🚤 They then immersed themselves in the beauty of Kerið Crater and the historic Þingvellir National Park. 🌿

The trip wrapped up with a journey through the Lava Tunnel, some sightseeing in Reykjavík, a relaxing soak in the Hvammsvík Hot Springs, and finally, the flight home. ✈️
