GCSE Results 2024!

GCSE Results 2024!

This year at RHS, we are celebrating a remarkable achievement with over half (50.4%) of all exams awarded the top grades of 9-7. This marks our best-ever GCSE performance (excluding Covid years), with an outstanding 97.1% of grades at 9-4.

Notably, 159 grade 9s were awarded to pupils across the year group, a significant year-on-year increase, demonstrating our commitment to academic excellence and continuous development.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff, supportive parents and friends who have been with our pupils every step of the way. Your guidance and encouragement have been instrumental in their success.

Well done, Class of 2024!  Your future is bright!

Irfan Latif, Headmaster, comments: “I am absolutely delighted for our 2024 GCSE cohort and proud to be celebrating two record-breaking sets of results this summer alongside the whole RHS community. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the dedicated team of teachers and wider colleagues at RHS, whose unwavering dedication and commitment has provided pupils the opportunity not only to achieve their academic potential, but to explore their passions through a wide range of co-curricular achievements. I’d like to provide particular recognition to the exceptional leadership of Headmaster Simon Lockyer, and Deputy Head (Academic) Catherine Stevens, who have left a lasting legacy at RHS and provided firm foundations for the continued success and growth of the school.   I am immensely proud of the RHS community and look forward to welcoming back many of our GSCE pupils to the Sixth Form in September. As RHS sails into an ever-changing and challenging world, it remains steadfast in its mission to provide an education that prepares pupils not just for exams but for life. The school's blend of tradition and 21st century innovation creates an environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally, and I am excited to navigate RHS through this exciting new chapter. “

Katie Banks, Deputy Head (Academic), comments: “Joining RHS in a year when both GCSE and A Level cohorts have achieved exceptional outcomes is a great honour. Our pupils’ success is a testament to their hard work, and to the expertise and dedication of our outstanding teaching staff. Their vision and commitment to nurturing a vibrant, supportive, and ambitious academic community have been instrumental in shaping the school's ethos, and it is a privilege to continue to champion this approach.  As we move forward, RHS is committed to continuing to foster an environment where each and every pupil can thrive academically while also developing the skills and passions that will serve them well in life beyond school. We recognise that education extends beyond the classroom, and it is our goal to nurture well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also confident, creative, and compassionate leaders.  Congratulations to all our pupils on their well-deserved success. “
