Children's Mental Heath Week

Children's Mental Heath Week

Let's Connect

The theme for this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is ‘Let’s Connect’. Acknowledging national mental health events such as this is important to RHS pupils and staff, because raising awareness gives our RHS pupils the opportunity to think about their own mental health as well as those around them. This reflection encourages normalisation of conversation with each other and trusted adults about how they may be feeling, which in turn gives confidence to seek further support from our large pastoral team should they feel they need it.

Activities planned for Children’s Mental Health this week include;

  • A competition between Houses to create the most eye catching ‘word cloud’ using words relating to ‘positive connections’, resources have been distributed to Houses for use during Family Time.

  • Pupils and staff will receive cards with positive ‘connection’ images, quotes and #PartofRHS chocolates.
