Charlie Allison Essex CCC

We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Charlie Allison, a former pupil, following an outstanding debut season in First Class cricket for Essex County Cricket Club this summer.

In what was his first full season at the top level, Charlie impressed on multiple fronts, scoring three centuries in First Class matches and adding a century in List A cricket. His consistent performances and ability to rise to the occasion have earned him widespread recognition, including being named both Men’s Player of the Year and Men’s Players’ Player of the Year by Essex CCC.

This is a phenomenal accomplishment for any cricketer, but particularly for someone so early in their career. Charlie’s dedication, talent, and composure under pressure mark him out as a player to watch in the coming seasons, and we are proud to have supported him on his journey.

We look forward to following Charlie’s career as he continues to excel on the pitch and make a mark in the world of cricket.

Nick Platt, Director of Sports, comments:

“Charlie has always been a very talented cricketer, but his dedication and work ethic were clear to see as part of our sports scholars’ pathway. He had an insatiable desire to keep improving and became adept at dealing with pressure situations, so it is no surprise that he has performed so impressively in his first season of First Class cricket. I am grateful to the RHS cricket coaches for their support of Charlie as he progressed through our programme and we look forward to seeing the heights he can hit in the coming years.”
