Our Year 12 and 13 Spanish pupils had a fantastic day in London at the British Film Institute Spanish workshop on ‘La Casa de Bernarda Alba’.  

The session offered brilliant insights into Lorca’s world, the symbolism of the play and the influence of Spanish culture and history. Our pupils engaged thoughtfully with the film clips and discussions, deepening their understanding of the play.  

A huge thank-you to the BFI team for such enriching experience. And to finish the day, of course they had a Spanish tapas dinner, before heading back home.  

An excellent trip that has definitely boosted confidence and curiosity!
