We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted in the distinguished Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2024, in the Independent Boarding School of the Year category. This recognition highlights the school’s commitment to excellence in education and providing a holistic and enriching boarding experience.
The Independent Schools of the Year Awards are designed to give independent schools an opportunity to celebrate and showcase their extraordinary achievements. Our innovative approach to pastoral care, homely boarding houses, academic excellence, and extensive extracurricular opportunities has set a benchmark in fostering well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges. This recognition highlights our school's dedication to creating a nurturing environment where happy pupils thrive both academically and personally.
Dr Helen Wright, Chair, Independent Schools of the Year 2024 Awards commented on this year’s entrants saying: “The innovative and life-affirming student experience which independent schools provide to their students is awe-inspiring and the stories told in the entries are both moving and humbling. It has been truly wonderful to receive so many nominations which clearly celebrate ‘excellence in education’ and showcase the myriad of activities in which our students have the opportunity to excel.”
Simon Lockyer, Headmaster at Royal Hospital School, added: “We are immensely proud to be shortlisted for the Independent Boarding School of the Year category at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2024. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire school community.
