Some of our GCSE and A Level artworks were exhibited in the prestigious ‘artEast’ exhibition at Framsden Hall Barn. The schools' section of the show featured works by pupils from RHS, Framlingham College, Ipswich School and Orwell Park.

We are delighted to announce that four RHS pupils (one current and three alumni) were among the top prizewinners.

From Year 12, Polly F (pictured with her artwork below), was awarded a fantastic second place overall, winning a collection of art materials from a top London arts training college.

Polly comments: “I felt so honoured to be awarded second place with one of my GCSE art pieces. Having painted it in Year 10, I wasn’t sure it would even be considered as highly commended let alone second place. I was ecstatic when I found out my painting had done so well and felt the trials of GCSE Art were well worth it.”

The alumni prizewinners were Kate C, who won best sculpture/mixed media work, Sandy M who won the judges choice award (her was work selected by art dealer Henny Palmer-Tomkinson and portrait painter Georgina Barclay) and Nemo X, who was highly commended for drawing.

Nemo X and Amana F also received offers to purchase their works!

Congratulations to all the talented pupils involved!
