Our GCSE and A Level Art and DT pupils travelled to Paris for an unforgettable five-day experience filled with culture, creativity and inspiration. After arriving on Friday, the group settled into their accommodation and prepared for the days ahead.
Their first full day in Paris began with a visit to Notre Dame Cathédral, followed by a visit to the stunning impressionist rooms at the Musée d’ Orsay giving pupils the opportunity to explore some of the world’s most celebrated artworks. The afternoon offered pupils a motif and metal working workshop at the Musee de les arts Decoratif at le Louvre, followed by dinner in the Montmartre area, soaking up the atmosphere of one of Paris’ most iconic neighbourhoods.
Their second day started with a visit to the Musée d’art modern - with breathtaking views of the Eiffel tower, followed by an awe-inspiring visit to the museum and collection at La Galerie Dior. Pupils visited the Eiffel Tower as dusk fell, just in time for the iconic tower to sparkle with glittering lights. Day two concluded with dinner next to the Arc de Triomphe just off the Champs Elysées.
On their last full day, pupils travelled to Disneyland Paris, where they attended the DT LIVE conference and a full day of excitement in the park, witnessing the evening spectacular light show before beginning heading back to their accommodation at a local chateau.
On the final day pupils left their hotel for the last time and journeyed back to RHS - rounding off an inspiring and memorable trip to Paris.
