Anti-Bullying Week
Last week was Anti-Bullying Week and on Monday our pupils and staff were all invited to wear odd socks to celebrate individuality. There were some fun photos from some of our departments, and our day and boarding houses who were encouraged to take part in an Odd Socks Day ‘Catchy Caption’ competition. There were so many funny and imaginative entries, but the top 3 were narrowed down to Raleigh, Collingwood and St Vincent because their photos and captions best represented inclusivity and anti-bullying. The winning houses were rewarded with doughnuts for their efforts!
This year’s Anti-Bullying Week theme was ‘Reach Out’; postcards and #partofRHS chocolates were distributed throughout the school for pupils and staff to write a note to reach out to someone that they wanted to recognise or give a kind word to.
During family time houses also took part in Anti-Bullying Week activities, such as Blake and Howe who created paper chain links that reminded pupils who they can reach out to, and St Vincent, who pledged to reach out and support their community by printing colourful hand prints on to some Reach Out posters.
