Morgan breaks weight lifting records at National Championships

Morgan Thomas has competed in the National Deadlift Championships in Kings Lynn winning the Teenager 1 category and in the process set a National, European and World record with a final lift of 100kgs, almost double her bodyweight.

Morgan only started weight lifting five months ago and is quickly becoming a rising star with a selection for Team GB now confirmed and an invitation to attend the World Championships in Antwerp in June 2017.

Morgan is part of the Talent Performance Group (TPG) made up of our elite athletes at the Royal Hospital School who work with the Athletic Development Leaders to enhance their fitness and skills. She has been benefiting from the newly built strength and conditioning room filled with plenty of weights and equipment to adapt to her training regime.
