On Thursday 9 March the University of Essex Human Performance Unit visited RHS to work with A Level PE pupils on some practical assessments followed by an analysis of results.
Toby R, Year 12, wore a Gas Analyser worth a princely £5000 to determine his V02 or maximum volume of oxygen consumed during exercise and some of the other twenty five pupils who took part wore heart rate monitors to track their levels of intensity.
Sam Hindley, Year 13, was the top performer scoring highest in the multi-stage fitness test.
