Senior Boys' Relay Team qualify for Dunelm Cup Final at Olympic Park Bath Cup

On Friday 11 March eleven RHS pupils travelled to the Olympic Park to compete in The Bath Cup. Over a hundred schools attended and the competition involved both girls' and boys' freestyle and medley relay events.

The girls started the event with the women's freestyle relay, showing great promise and spirit. All swam well and made a determined effort against some strong national swimmers. Overall they achieved a good positions in the freestyle and medley at 21st and 26th, but not ones that qualified for the final.

The men's freestyle relay started in style with Alex S gaining first place ahead of Eton and Bishop Stortford. The remaining swimmers held on well and it was an exciting race where teams changed positions throughout. Unfortunately, the boys missed out on the final and were placed 23rd overall.

The highlight was the men's 50m medley relay swam by Charlie T, Adam C, Joe C and Alex S where RHS were placed 2nd in the heat with a time of 2:04:03. They qualified for the The Dunelm Cup Final and came an impressive 8th out of 60 schools.

A great experience for all involved.
