SIXTH FORM SUBJECTS

A Broad and Challenging Curriculum

The approach to learning in the Sixth Form has been carefully designed to bridge the gap between school and university and to give pupils the best chance of reaching their full potential. They are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning whilst benefiting from collaborative thinking. The broad and challenging curriculum is supported by personal academic guidance, balanced with a targeted enrichment programme.

Sixth Form Subjects

In the Sixth Form, pupils can select to study a wide range of core academic subjects. Elective Subjects

In year 1, alongside three A Levels, pupils will take an additional elective subject which will lead to a further qualification to include on your CV. There’s a wide range of choices to ensure everyone will find something that will spark their interest as well as being enjoyable.  The courses are run on 6 periods per fortnight over the course of Year 12, with the exception of Further Mathematics which is taught over ten periods in both Year 12 and Year 13.
