Take a flight over RHS

There is no better way to experience our extraordinary setting than from above.  Not only are we moments from the Stour Estuary, Alton Water sits just the other side of the school meaning we are perfectly placed for sailing and other water sports.

REMOTE LEARNING AT RHS

Learning has been uninterrupted during lockdown. 108 RHS teachers are teaching our 750 pupils in 38 countries some 28 subjects a week.  Our EAL department have taken into consideration the different international time zones, and continue to provide their pupils with individual support sessions.

Design a T-shirt in the Art Department

The Art Department is a hub of creativity and originality, where pupils can experiment in a wide range of media including photography, textiles, pottery, print and sculpture as well as more traditional painting and drawing materials. There are light and airy art and textile studios, with permanent personal studio space for sixth form pupils and a photographic darkroom and Photoshop classroom. The Art and Design Department enjoys an outstanding reputation, with pupils' work being exhibited all year round in the superb exhibition atrium.

The Music Department

The Music School facilities are outstanding, with a concert hall, recital rooms, practice rooms, recording studio, music technology suite, rock room, live lounge and cathedral-proportioned chapel. Music forms part of the Lower School curriculum and is offered as an academic subject at both GCSE and A Level. Over 400 pupils learn to play at least one instrument and there is an orchestra, 80-strong chapel choir, chamber choir, ceremonial marching band, concert band, big band and numerous ensembles, including many rock and pop groups.
