Annalise Mathews (Howe, 2012) is a Waste Consultant at Buro Happold. In this lecture Annalise will be looking at a few key areas; the impact humans are having on the planet, an introduction to sustainability. The circular economy, with some key exciting examples of this in action, and she will finish with steps you can take to lead a more sustainable lifestyle.

Bob Clarke (Raleigh 1968), describes himself as an author, trainer and university lecture in Business Continuity. However, when Coronavirus arrived, the world discovered his 2016 publication of 'Business Continuity and the Pandemic Threat', which become an overnight best seller. In his lecture Bob talks about his journey from RHS to pandemic expert via the Royal Naval Scientific Service, his predictions from the book (what cam true and what didn't) and how different countries have managed the pandemic; the good, the bad and the ugly.

Professor Margaret Studd became the first HIV Consultant at the Royal Free London Hospital in 1989. She has been Chairman of the British HIV Association, the Academic Vice President at the Royal College of Physicians and Medical Director of the Royal Free. She is currently the HIV Research Lead and has led many publications on the natural history of HIV infection treatment. She is passionate about keeping HIV at the top of the agenda by continuing research, pushing for better treatment, and decreasing the stigma that surrounds it. 

 

Commander General Gary Deakin (Collingwood, 1984) looks back on his time and experiences at RHS and how that led him to his career choices today in the military. Additionally exploring what NATO is and the careers within. Followed by a Q&A session.
