Hood House is warm, creative and full of character, offering pupils a homely environment where they can unwind, build friendships and enjoy a rich variety of activities.

Evenings are always engaging, with a programme that includes movie nights, bracelet making, baking and badge making. Pupils also look forward to chocolate fountain evenings, bingo, mug painting, painting sessions and the ever-popular “ice cream factory” nights. These activities inspire creativity, laughter and a real sense of togetherness.

Weekends bring exciting opportunities to explore and enjoy time off-site, with shopping trips to Cambridge, Colchester or Westfield, as well as cinema outings, go-karting and ice skating adventures. There is always something fun on offer, ensuring pupils can relax, socialise and make lasting memories.

Hood House continues to nurture a friendly, inclusive and lively environment where every pupil is encouraged to take part, try new experiences and thrive as part of the RHS community.
