A Level English Language

The study of English Language at A Level enables pupils to engage creatively and critically with a range of texts. Pupils develop their skills as producers and interpreters of language and are able to carry out an independent investigation into ‘real life’ language use.

Are there specific entry requirements? A good pass (grade 5 or above) in GCSE English Language.
What is the assessment format? 2 exams taken in the summer of Year 13 + 20% coursework
Any particular subject combinations recommended English Literature if you are a keen student of all facets of English. Business, Creative Digital Media Production, Politics, Psychology and Religious Studies are subjects that can be found beneficial to study alongside English Language.
