Computing and computer technology are part of just about everything that touches our lives, from the cars we drive and the movies we watch to the ways businesses and governments deal with us. Understanding different dimensions of computer science is part of the necessary skill set for an educated person in the 21st century.

|Are there specific entry requirements?||7 in GCSE Computing or 7 in GCSE mathematics if computing has not been studied at GCSE|
|What is the assessment format?||2 exams taken in the summer of Yr 13 (40% each) and a programming project (20%)|
|Any particular subject combinations recommended||Mathematics or Core Mathematics. NB Some high-ranking universities require A Level mathematics for entry onto a Computer Science degree.|
