Senior School Curriculum

Year 10The school offers an exciting choice of subjects at GCSE and the range on offer is continually under review.

Year 9, 10 and 11 pupils take English language and literature, mathematics, modern foreign language (French, German or Spanish) physics, chemistry, biology (either as the three separate sciences or as the "dual award" Co-ordinated Science) as the core subjects. In addition four option subjects may be chosen from blocks comprising history, geography, Latin, sports studies, media studies, religious studies, art, music, technology and business studies. 

The option blocks are restructured each year to accommodate pupils' preferences as far as possible.

Charity Gala Concert for Local Charities
A Charity Gala Concert will be held at the Royal Hospital School Chapel on Saturday 17 March raising funds for local charities; Local Mencap Ipswich, Special Needs Cycling BikeActive, Find (Families in Need), Alzheimer’s Society and Dom’s Fund (the Dominic Barker Trust for research into stammering).
12 Year Old Music Scholar Stuns Audience
The star of the show was undoubtedly 12 year old Rion Shirayanagi, who stunned the audience with his performance of a Schubert sonata, Impromptu in Eb Major.
