Food

The whole school eats in the dining hall in the main school building and the boys and girls can serve themselves from a wide range of different foods at each meal. Breakfast runs between 0730 and 0820, lunch from 1230 to 1330 and supper from 1800 to 1840.

Catering is provided by Chartwells, a leading food service provider for independent schools. Chartwells are extremely proud of their 24-year partnership with the School. Throughout this time, they have managed and developed the School’s catering services, ensuring that your sons and daughters benefit from a first-class catering service, every day of the school term. Servery

The Chartwells team at the Royal Hospital School know that the provision of nutritionally balanced menus consisting of fresh, seasonal and, wherever possible, local produce is fundamental to their continued success at the School. They have developed the services at each meal to offer an appetising array of delicious, beautifully presented and served breakfasts, lunches and suppers for your children, whatever their age.

There is a café where boys and girls can buy a wide range of refreshments (many of which are Fairtrade and/or Organic), stationary, greeting cards and other miscellaneous items whilst socialising with friends from other houses. Pupils are also provided with semi-skimmed milk, wholemeal and white sliced bread and a choice of fresh fruit daily within their house.
