Speech and Drama
Drama forms part of the lower school curriculum and is taught largely in practical lessons with theatre trips, workshops and script writing providing personal development and a solid foundation for the GCSE course.
Drama productions are often combined with the work of the Music Department and there is a full programme of productions each year which may include a musical, a whole school or junior play and inter-house drama competitions, all of which are enthusiastically supported. Off stage there are many opportunities to get involved with costumes, lighting and scenery and there are regular visits to professional productions locally and in the West End.

Speech and Drama lessons are also provided during lunchtime breaks, after school and other free periods when pupils are prepared for LAMDA, Trinity Guildhall and English Speaking Board examinations as well as informal performance events. These are taught in very small groups or individually and the cost varies accordingly.
