We offer a limited number of scholarships each year to exceptional candidates and these are awarded, by competition, as fixed monetary sums and cannot be combined with any other financial reduction.

Lower School Academic Scholarships

These are available to pupils entering the school at 11+ and 13+ years. Candidates who perform well in the entrance examinations may be invited back for a scholarship interview and to take a non-verbal reasoning test. Common Entrance candidates may be recommended for our scholarship examination by their current school.

Sixth Form Academic Scholarships

Sixth Form scholarships may be awarded to new and existing pupils entering the sixth form. Awards will be made on the basis of performance in the sixth form scholarship examination, an interview and in the GCSE examinations.

Music Scholarships

Available to pupils entering the school at any level but normally at 11+, 13+ or 16+. The music scholarships are dependent upon satisfactory performance in the entrance examination and an audition with the Director of Music.

Art Scholarships

Available to pupils entering the school at any level but normally at 11+, 13+ or 16+. The art scholarships are dependent upon satisfactory performance in the entrance examination and an assessment with the Head of Art.

Sports Scholarships

Available to pupils entering the school at any level but normally at 11+, 13+ or 16+. Sports scholarships are awarded to pupils showing exceptional ability in at least one sport or very good ability in at least two. Sports scholarships are dependent upon satisfactory performance in the entrance examination, a successful assessment and an interview with the Director of PE and Games.

Sailing Scholarships

Available to pupils entering the school at any level, but normally at 11+, 13+ or 16+. Sailing scholarships are awarded to pupils showing exceptional ability usually endorsed by a club or current coach. Sailing scholarships are dependent upon satisfactory perfomance in the entrance examination, a successful assessment and an interview with the Director of Sailing.

For the September 2010 entry, scholarship applications should be sent to the Admissions Officer by 11 December 2009. Scholarship interviews and assessments will be held on Saturday 30th January 2010.
