Pupils at RHS are given every opportunity to develop their interests and skills to the full and to enjoy their most formative years in an idyllic setting under the watchful eye of a dedicated and committed team of teaching and support staff.

Breadth does not imply academic mediocrity – indeed academic standards are high at RHS; in summer 2010 the A*/C pass rate at A level was 88%; nearly 40% of all A level papers were graded A*/A and there are ex RHS pupils at most of the UK’s leading universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Exeter, Edinburgh, UCL, Bristol and others in the Russell Group.

Over the past five years RHS has undergone a period of substantial structural development. £18million has been spent on upgrading our accommodation for both boarding and day pupils and a fabulous new music school was opened in December 2008. The school has outstanding facilities and occupies a magnificent site.

My aim is to produce ambitious, highly qualified, confident, well rounded young men and women who can make a positive contribution to society in their adult lives. I also believe in the importance of ensuring that our pupils are unpretentious and have the humility to understand that with a fine education comes the responsibility to make a difference through service and self sacrifice.
