International CoordinatorInternational Co-ordinator

For those whose first language is not English, the school provides the services of an International Co-ordinator. She acts as a link between parents and the school and tracks the progress of all overseas children whose parents may not be able to visit on a regular basis. The International Co-ordinator can be contacted on + 44 1473 326 207

Induction

On acceptance of a place pupils are sent joining instructions and plenty of useful information. They are then invited to come to the school a few days before the start on the term to be fitted with uniform, meet staff and new friends and to familiarise themselves with their surroundings. During their time at the school pupils will be taken on trips of the local area by staff and the International Co-ordinator can offer some tuition covering British culture.

Host Families and Guardians

Every pupils whose parents are resident abroad must have a guardian in this country and it is the responsibility of parents to make these arrangements prior to the pupil entering the school. There are no compulsory exeats but pupils cannot stay at school during the holidays. The International Co-ordinator can assist with finding families to stay with during the half-term holidays if pupils cannot return home or stay with guardians.

Transport to and from Airports

The school can arrange for flights coming into London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted to be met by local taxi companies on the first and last day of each term and half term. Wherever possible we will arrange for pupils to share keeping costs to a minimum. The school cannot be held responsible for organising any necessary visas for entry or return to the UK and this must be arranged by parents or an education agent.

English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Lessons

EFL lessons are available and can be arranged with the International Co-ordinator. For more information and costs please contact Gill Evans on +44 (0) 1473 326 207.
