Sixth Form - Royal Hospital School

Acceptance into the sixth form (16+ years) is conditional upon candidates meeting the entrance criteria. For AS and A Level (A2) this is a minimum average points score of 5.5 at GCSE (where A*= 8, A = 7, B = 6, C = 5, D = 4). Pupils are also expected to have achieved a Grade C or above in English. The requirements for specific subject choices are available on request from the Head of Sixth Form.

Under normal circumstances a provisional place will be offered following a successful interview with the Headmaster, the Head of Sixth Form or the Director of Studies and, when appropriate, the relevant Heads of Department and following a satisfactory reference from the candidate’s present school. All offers are conditional upon the candidate gaining the necessary grades at GCSE level.
