School Entrance Examination
Candidates wishing to enter the school in Years 7-10 (ages 11–14), not taking Common Entrance, will be asked to sit the School's own entrance examination on 22 January 2010.
This consists of:
- a test in mathematics based upon the relevant level of the National Curriculum
- a verbal reasoning test
- an English comprehension test.

Common Entrance
For Year 9 (13+) candidates following a Common Entrance course, the offer of a place at the school is conditional upon satisfactory performance in the summer Common Entrance examinations.
Entrance for all candidates is also subject to a successful interview with the Headmaster and satisfactory reports regarding academic attainment and behaviour being received from the candidate's current school.
