This weekend 35 pupils across the age groups from Year 7 to 13 will take to the water in the Great East Swim at neighbouring Alton Water reservoir. This annual event attracts around 3,000 swimmers and involves either a 1/2 mile, 1 mile, 2 mile or 5km open water swim. It is part of the Great Swim Series which has five events across England and Scotland attracting in the region of 22,000 participants. On Saturday six teams travelled to Bough Beech Sailing Club, for the annual Hoad Shield Team Racing Regatta, an inter-school event second only to the Nationals in terms of standard and prestige. Congratulations to the 18 pupils who took part in the ERSA Schools Championship Event at the Norfolk Snowsports Club on Sunday 30 April 2017. Pupils Rochelle Gordon-Scott and Gracie Arulampalam were selected to play for the Suffolk County Hockey U14s squad in the Regional Championship finals on Sunday.
